My name is Johanna Sanchez, and I am the principal of Hearne Elementary School. I have been a proud member of the Alief family for more than 15 years and the principal at Hearne for 7 years. Before becoming a principal, I taught all content areas at Klentzman Intermediate School and served as an Assistant Principal at Sneed Elementary School.
I graduated from the University of Florida, where I obtained my Bachelors degree in Psychology. I earned by Masters of Educational Leadership degree from the University of St. Thomas. I also hold an Executive Leadership Certification from Rice University.
I enjoy seeing students authentically engaged in learning, with teachers who are passionate about their craft. My goal as a Principal is to ensure students are safe every day and learning from dedicated professionals, who serve as exceptional role models, and inspire a love of learning. As a first-generation child of immigrant parents, there is no mountain I will not climb to see our school succeed! Every day counts! #HuskiesLEAD
